Taking the Leap: Developing a Sustainable Second Career

Making the move to an art career from a different background may seem daunting, but it is a possibility. In this webinar, I'll discuss how I did it, the challenges and advantages of doing it, and coming to an art career later in life. I'll also be introducing how you may approach this using the principles of Permaculture, and how applying these can allow you to reflect and analyse you current practice in order to make it a more sustainable and rewarding one.

What are the three main objectives of your webinar?

  • Share what I have learnt about my experience with tips, do's and don't.
  • Introduce the concepts of Permaculture in relation to your creative practice (it is usually used in a farming/gardening setting) and get you thinking about how your practice works.
  • Encourage you to identify what transferable skills you have that can be used in your practice.
