Surviving to Thriving: The Importance of Self-Care for Creative Success

Self care is not discussed enough in this age of non-stop production. It is difficult to admit, but often our paychecks devalue who/what we are. We are often arguably low-paid workers, providing our labour to other creative people/places. We often justify this because we are just grateful to be in the creative industries.

For many creative individuals, forgoing the corporate and commercial world is a brave venture into the unknown. This webinar looks at how to ensure you are not merely selling your labour for the demands of capital. It ensures that you are working on your own terms, within your values and that you are fulfilled.

The importance of care will be discussed as an important measure. This webinar will encourage you to evaluate if you are making clear decisions in your personal and professional life, and how to make the kind of decisions you can be proud of.

You will receive a small toolkit and some tips to get you started on your new path towards the life that you want to live.

What are the three main objectives of your webinar?

  • To encourage mentees to consider a holistic approach to their work.
  • To give people some practical advice about how to be healthier and happier.
  • To provoke mentees to think about a value-based approach to their work.
